Creating Plant Areas

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab.
  2. In the Setup and Policy section, click Setup.
  3. In the Process section, click Plant Area.
    Result: The Plant Areas window is displayed.
  4. Click Action > Add.
    Result: The Plant Area entry window is displayed.
  5. Enter information in the following fields:
Field Description

Code

Enter a code for the plant area.

Name

Enter a name for the plant area.

New Location

Enter the new inventory location where the parts will be moved to once the inspection result is PASS or when the disposition has been completed. For example, once the inspection is passed, an ACCEPT (new status) transaction record is sent back to ERP with new location = STOCK and status = ACCEPT.

NOTE: This field is applicable to Inspection Management.

New Status

Enter the new status of the part based on the inspection (ACCEPT) or disposition (USE-AS-IS, SKIP, REWORK, RETURN, SCRAP).

NOTE: This field is applicable to Inspection Management.

  1. Click the Save button.
    Result: The new plant area has been added to the system.
